For most clients, yes—for a time.
Tracking is one of the fastest ways to create awareness, identify gaps, and understand what it actually takes to reach your goals. It helps us move from guessing to knowing.
Think about it this way: if you’re trying to improve your finances, you would probably start by looking at your spending. Nutrition is no different.
Tracking helps us understand things like:
How much protein you’re eating
Whether you’re consistently hitting your nutrition targets
Portion sizes
Eating patterns and habits
Where adjustments need to be made
That said, tracking isn’t the goal. It’s a tool. My goal is to help you build the skills, awareness, and confidence needed to make informed decisions around food and nutrition.
If you have concerns about tracking, we’ll talk through them. Often there is a specific reason tracking feels overwhelming, frustrating, or intimidating, and together we’ll find the best way to approach it.

The goal of tracking is education, awareness, and skill-building—not creating a lifelong dependency.
I often tell clients that tracking is like using training wheels. It helps you learn what appropriate portions look like, how much protein your body needs, and what it takes to support your goals.
Once you’ve developed those skills, many clients choose to move toward a more flexible approach and rely less on tracking. Others continue tracking because they enjoy the structure and accountability it provides.
Neither approach is right or wrong.
The goal is to help you understand nutrition well enough that you can confidently navigate vacations, holidays, weekends, restaurants, and everyday life without feeling lost or dependent on an app.
My job isn’t to make you track forever.
My job is to help you build habits and skills that last forever.

EmBody Physique focuses on teaching you how to execute the plan, adapt the plan, and maintain the results long after the program is over.
